These meters feature extra wide scales, big bold numerals above the scale divisions for an unobstructed reading. A tapered needle, sharp pointer and shadow free acrylic cover help to easily view values. Meters are available in taut band or pivot and jewel mechanisms. They meet ANSI C39.1. In addition to these features, these meters also meet UL/CSA and/or IEC specifications. Scaling and inputs can be easily modified to meet custom applications. The Big Look panel meters are gasketted to seal out dust and other air-suspended damaging particles and are ideal for adverse environments.

Our modification department can modify the input and scaling information to your exact specifications, from dual scaled meters, to non-standard distributions such as cosø and log scaling. For high resolution readings, our modification department can produce a higher accuracy meter , calibrated to better than ±1% and, if required, an expanded scale with an accuracy of ±0.5% of full-scale.
For process applications, meters can be mechanically suppressed to 4-20 mADC, up to 20% of end scale and an accuracy of ±2% or better if required.

The absence of friction permits greater sensitivities, this rugged Yokogawa band is ideal for applications that require quick response, repeatability or experience vibration.
because there are no moving parts, common failures of conventional pivot and jewel meters such as cracked jewels and/or blunt pivots are no longer a problem.
Pivot and Jewel
In this design the coil and pointer are supported by polished steel pivots at each end which fit into jewel bearings. Pivot and jewel meters are recommended for high vibration environments. The mechanism’s inherent stability and strength provide accuracy, repeatability and performance are almost equal to the taut-band mechanism. However, hardened jewels and pivot points eventually wear out, causing repeatability and friction problems towards the end of the meter’s life.
