Now, with the introduction of the RSA3000, RIGOL is extending its Real-Time Analysis solutions to applications that don’t require the high performance or standard options of the performance RSA5000 Series.   • Available in 3.0GHz and 4.5GHz models with available tracking generators, the RSA3000 comes standard with 10MHz of Real-time analysis bandwidth but can be upgraded to 40MHz at any time. With the 40MHz option applied, the RSA3000 delivers the same seamless capture, minimum probability of intercept (POI) of 7.45 µs, 7 rich visualization modes and powerful triggering capability as the RSA5000 providing a complete real-time analysis package for engineers at lower entry price.

  • The RIGOL RSA3000 takes 146,484 FFTs per second providing a minimum 100% POI of 7.45 µs. This class leading performance allows users to confidently capture pulsing, hopping and fast transient signals as short as 7.45 µs and display accurate power 100% of the time. Signals as low as 1 µs can be captured thanks to our seamless FFT capture. The RSA3000 provides 7 rich data views to allow engineers to visualize the most complex RF environments. Density Displays help to see time varying signals and resolve hidden and superimposed signals in the same frequency band. Spectrogram Displays allow users to evaluate changes in signal behavior over time, especially useful in identifying hopping patterns and characterizing PLLs. Power versus Time Displays show the RF Power for the real time span over a user defined time span helping measure the duration and timing of pulsing signals and characterizing signals with amplitude modulation like ASK.
  • RIGOL Real-time Spectrum Analyzers come standard with an IF output which converts the entire real-time span to a 430MHz carrier. Using this capability, along with a 500MHz Oscilloscope the user can complete detailed multi-domain measurements when integrating Wireless technologies. The new RIGOL DS7000 Oscilloscope provides an Enhanced High Resolution Color FFT capability perfect for this type of multi-domain measurement.

  • The 7000 Series delivers unmatched price/performance capability in a mid-range oscilloscope. With 10GSa/sec Sample rate and up to 500M Record Length the 7000 Series can deliver 20X Oversampling on a 500MHz signal providing unmatched signal resolution while still capturing a full 50ms; significantly longer than available in competitive products.
  • The core of the 7000 Series Oscilloscope is RIGOL’s new UltraVision II architecture and its Phoenix chip-set. Two custom ASICs provide analog front end and signal processing performance. These chips are surrounded by a high performance hardware design including Xilinx Zync-7000 SoC, Dual Core Arm-9 Processors, Linux +Qt Operating System, High Speed DDR System Memory and QDRII Display memory. This architecture enables a high waveform capture rate of 600,000wfms/sec, color graded intensity display, and outstanding time-base accuracy and jitter performance.

The WT3000E offers two types of Input Elements. The Low Current element provides selectable input ranges of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 mA and 1 and 2 Amps. Many of today’s power conversion circuits use energy saving switching techniques. These can cause highly distorted voltage or current waveforms with high harmonic content. To measure these waveforms accurately, the WT3000E uses high resolution sixteen bit Analog to Digital converters. This will benefit the design and test engineer in product performance evaluation and for power quality conformance testing. The Normal power parameters and Harmonic data are measured simultaneously providing for faster and more accurate power analysis.

Two new measurement functions are provided as standard with the WT3000E. The Delta Calculation function allows users to calculate the individual phase voltages, Line-to-Neutral, from the Line-to-Line voltages measured in a three-phase three-wire system. This function can be very beneficial to the engineer in applications such as motor testing and others where there are no neutral lines. The Cycle by Cycle measurement function enables users to list the measurement parameters of Voltage, Current and Active Power for each cycle in a time series. This is a unique method to capture the fluctuating transient power with high precision.

New Visible Light Spectrum Analyzer has Higher Performance & New Functions

yokogawa Yokogawa has introduced a new version of its successful AQ6373 optical spectrum analyzer, incorporating a new monochromator with a steeper passband filter slope, plus a number of new features including a double-speed measuring mode, a multipeak/bottom search function, and a data-logging function. The new AQ6373B is designed for measurements in the short wavelength region, from 350 nm to 1200 nm, and is based on the same proven platform of the AQ6373, featuring a fast start-up time – about two minutes – and fast measurements, with only 0.5 sec for a measurement covering a 100 nm span. The steeper passband filter slope of the new monochromator is helpful for clearly separating spectral signals in close proximity to one another. Like the AQ6373, the AQ6373B offers a high resolution of up to 0.01 nm in the 400-470 nm range, a high close-in dynamic range of up to 60 dB, and a high sensitivity down to -80 dBm in the 500-1000 nm range. It also includes a free-space (non-contact) optical input, enabling the instrument to accept optical fibers with core diameters from 9 µm to 800 µm, and a color analysis function for determining the exact color of the input light, as experienced by the average human eye sensitivity (according to the CIE 1931 XYZ standard). Wavelength calibration on the AQ6373B can now be performed using the emission line of a common low-cost xenon lamp to ensure highly accurate results. The AQ6373B is ideally suited to testing optical devices and systems over the visible spectrum (from 380 to 700 nm) and the first window of optical communications (around 850 nm). In the visible spectrum, the AQ6373B can be used to test and characterize LEDs used in the lighting, automotive, consumer electronic and signage industries and LASERs used in the optical storage sector (DVD and Blu-Ray disc readers and writers), in medical applications such as ophthalmology, surgery, dental and skin treatment and thermotherapy, in computing devices such as optical mice and barcode readers, and in devices for entertainment including laser shows and games, laser projectors and laser pointers. In the first window of optical communications, the AQ6373B can be used to test and characterize the laser transmitters emitting around 850 nm (typically VCSELs), which are the most common transmitters installed in the multimode short-distance communications networks over glass or plastic fibers deployed in intra-building communication systems over FTTH networks. The AQ6373B can also be very useful for the R&D activity associated with new technologies for optical communications based on wireless transmission, including Visible Light Communication (VLC), Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) or Free Space Optical (FSO) communication.
