This assembly consists of a stainless steel tubing swaged over bundled 24 AWG, solid, Teflon® coated thermocouple grade wires and/or copper wires. The feedthrough is furnished with 24 inches of leadwire on each end. Longer wire lengths can be furnished as required.

Power Lead Split and Double-split Packing Glands

Conax Buffalo offers three models of split glands designed to facilitate assembly and sealant replacement when the diameter of the probe tip is larger than the diameter of the element(s) at the location of the seal. Split glands provide split sealants, followers and seats to facilitate easy sealant change without removing the element(s) from the system.

Transducer 24 AWG Glands

For bare wire sealing against gas or liquid, our TG Glands can be used for various solid bare wire transducers such as thermocouples, strain gauges, thermistors and resistance element leads. May also be used to seal bare solid conductors entering a pressure vessel supplying high current at low voltage to equipment within the vessel.This assembly consists of a Conax Buffalo manufactured transducer gland (TG) provided with a Teflon® sealant and 24 AWG solid Teflon insulated thermocouple grade wires or copper wires. The gland is furnished with 24″ of wire on each side. Longer wire lengths can be furnished as required.

Fiber Optic Sealing Glands for sealing optical cables

Conax Buffalo Technologies provides proven “soft sealant” technology for use in sealing fiber optic cables, creating an effective seal while protecting the fiber optic cable inside a sheath. These ruggedly designed assemblies seal a continuous fiber without the use of epoxies.

Hazardous Location Glands (CSA certified)

The HL Gland is designed for sealing protection in a wide variety of hazardous environments. It is CSA certified in the U.S. and Canada for use in hazardous locations defined by the NEC as Class I, Div.1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class II, Div. 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III. It meets the requirements of both a primary seal and secondary seal as defined in the 2006 Canadian Electrical Code. It also meets the requirements of a “conduit seal” and “cable seal” by preventing the passage of flames.

Sealing Leads of Embeded Temp. Sensors

Enables continuous wire feedthrough for Embedded Bearing Temperature Sensors, Transmitters and Sealing Assemblies while sealing securely to prevent oil wicking along the leads. Conax Buffalo Bearing Sensor Wire Seals efficiently seals directly on the individual Teflon insulated leads of an embedded bearing temperature sensor exiting an oil-filled bearing housing. Typical applications include the sealing of these leads on large motors, generators, turbines, pumps, compressors and journal bearing pedestals.

Wire Seal Termination Assembly

The type C is a lightweight head which provides a convenient and compact method of terminating thermocouple wires and connecting cold end leads. Screw posts, mounted in high purity alumina, securely fasten leadwires in position. The TG gland has an operational temperature range of –300°F to 1600°F (–185°C to +870°C); pressure range up to 10,000 PSI @68°F (690 bar @ 20°C), dependent upon the installed sealant material type.

The Conax Model HST HART® Smart Isolated 2-Wire Transmitter features universal input capability in 3 variations to accept most of today’s process parameters: Thermocouples, RTDs, DcmV, Potentiometers, Resistance Sensors, DcmA, DCV, AC Amps, Frequency and Pulse. Fully software driven. All input parameters are programmable. An external hand-held programmer, an integral transmitter mounted programmer or HART protocol hand-held enables on site calibration, and indication of process parameters.

DIN Rail Mounted Transmitter for Any T/C

The Conax Model DRT2-RTD and DRT4-RTD are compact, DIN rail mounted transmitters for 2, 3, and 4 wire RTD sensors. The output is linear with respect to the sensor’s temperature. The 4-wire input circuitry provides near perfect compensation for the effect of long leadwire resistance. They are powered by standard industrial loop power supply and provide a 4-20mA output on a 2-wire transmitter system (DRT2-RTD) or any standard current or voltage output on a 4-wire system (DRT4-RTD).

Wall-Mount Temperature Sensor

Wall mount temperature sensors provide highly accurate measurement of room air temperature in industrial workspaces and commercial, industrial or apartment buildings. The RTD sensor is housed in an attractive enclosure that offers very stable readings. These units submit input to readouts and HVAC controls, and when combined with a data logging device, can provide a history for validation of room ambient temperatures.
