Description

The Model MLA and MLD, explosion proof, field mounted remote indicators are loop powered, receiving a DC voltage or current signal input from electronic Transmitters and indicate process measurement values. They are available with Analog or Digital displays. Both accept 4-20 mA DC input. The remote MLA indicator also accepts 10-50Ma DC and 1-5 VDC. Meters can be mounted horizontally or vertically with 1/2" NPT or M20 female conduit connection.

The standard MLA scale is black with white numerals and letters, 50 divisions, 0-100%. The MLD standard display is 0-100%, both meter scaling can be modified to suit your application.

In this design the coil and pointer are supported by polished steel pivots at each end which fit into jewel bearings. Pivot and jewel meters are recommended for high vibration environments. The mechanism’s inherent stability and strength provide accuracy, repeatability and performance are almost equal to the taut-band mechanism. However, hardened jewels and pivot points eventually wear out, causing repeatability and friction problems towards the end of the meter’s life.
