Product Description:

The new S6 - 'Skeeter' Mass InterConnect from VPC offers a low profile solution for rapid connectivity between instrumentation and devices under test. With multiple interconnect options in a modular, reconfigurable interface device, the S6 - 'Skeeter' is ideal for commercial, contract manufacturing, automotive, and other high-volume testing environments. Designed to withstand the rigors of repeated mating and unmating cycles, the S6 provides an ideal platform for consolidating multiple test instrument connections while taking up only 1U of rack height. With two innovative, positive-lock latching mechanisms for reliable engagement, the receiver unit has integrated guide pins to ensure consistent lead-in with every connection.

Features:

Available in a slide and tabletop configurations, the S6 optional aluminum platform accommodates ICT and other bed-of-nails testing requirements. Integrated guide pins and proven engagement mechanisms provide precise lead-in, while pin & socket modules and contacts ensure reliable connections to over 20,000 mating cycles.

With 6 connector module positions for signal, coaxial/RF, power, vacuum, pneumatic, thermocouple, and fiber optic contacts in multiple configurations, the S6 offers I/O options to meet virtually any connectivity requirement. The S6 accepts all VPC 90 and 2100 series connector modules

Table Top Configuration:

The standard S6 Receiver is a stand alone tabletop unit that can be mounted directly to any horizontal surface utilizing the holes on the underside of the Receiver. Alternatively, the S6 (310122101) comes with a 15" platform that has four rubber feet so the system can safely sit on top of any surface or the feet are removable to enable a permanent tabletop mount configuration. Both S6 - 'Skeeter' Receivers offer a versatile, economical platform for a variety of test applications.

Slide Configuration:

For maximum versatility and easy access to instrument-side wiring and cable assemblies, VPC offers a selection of slide kits designed to fit most common rack depths. Slides are rated to support 180 lbs (81 kg) to accommodate even the largest fixtures.

To order, first choose the S6 - 'Skeeter' receiver (310122101) with the 15" platform. Next, measure rail to rail depth in the rack. With this measurement, choose the slide kit that fits the rack. An extender block kit is available for mounting to racks with recessed rails.
