The Triplett LAN TDR is a portable, battery powered unit
specifically designed to speed up the on-site testing of data
networks and production testing of cable assemblies.
The unit quickly tests shielded and unshielded LAN Cables
and identifies all commonly found wiring faults including; open
pair, shorted pair, crossed pair, split pair, reversed pair, and
double split pairs. The LAN TDR also tests shield continuity
in STP cables.
Using “Time Domain Reflectometry” the Triplett LAN TDR
measures and displays the length of the cable under test, up
to 400 feet. It also has a built-in tone generator, detectable
with a standard tone probe such as the Triplett Hound or Hound
2 Probe, for cable tracing.
Wiremapping is also a breeze with the Triplett LAN TDR and
the included 2 remote units. An additional 14 remote units
are available as optional accessories. Two - CAT 5 patch cables
and a protective tool-belt holster complete the package.
Housed in a tough ABS plastic case, the Triplett LAN TDR is
designed and manufactured to international standards for quality,
safety, and reliability. |
