Electro-Meters is one of the premier suppliers of Analog and Digital Panel Meters, Transformers and Test and Measurement instruments in North America. Our products include: Analog and Digital Panel Meters, Barographs, Industrial Controllers, Indicators, Shunts, Transformers and Transducers.

Our Test and Measurement instruments include Oscilloscopes, Recorders, Power meters and analyzers, Data acquisition systems, Bench calibrators and analyzers for industry and laboratory use. Optical test equipment and Dynamometers as well as a complete line of production test equipment.

Our Integrated Services Group design and fabricate custom test solutions including functional fixtures, test racks and custom cable assemblies.

Our Pickering office technical sales team is seeking an energetic, highly motivated and organized sales professional with a strong sense of urgency. You should be detailed, creative, a team player with superior analytical skills, verbal and written

Qualifications:

• An electrical/electronic technician background with previous experience working with or as a manufacturers' representative

• Bilingual, English/French is required

• Experience as an outside sales rep for 1 or 2 years in a similar industry is desired.

This position involves many exciting aspects of technical sales and customer support. You will be working directly with our organization's Inside Sales Reps, existing and new customers.
The primary function is to work with existing and potential customers to recommend solutions using our products and your technical knowledge.  Support and follow-up customer contact with existing and past customers, to insure satisfaction with purchases and determine any follow-up on potential sales opportunities

This is an outside technical position with travel to the Ottawa area on a regular basis.

Lead Hand - Mechanical Assembly

Job Type: Full Time or Part-Time

Description:

Electro-Meters is currently seeking a senior experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician for our Integrated Services Group. This position is a Full or Part Time position and is based out of our Pickering office.

Our Integrated Services Group, design and fabricate custom test solutions including functional fixtures, test racks and custom cable assemblies.

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must have a solid understanding and hands-on experience with Test Fixture, Panel and Test Rack mechanical assembly.
  

• Experience with industry standard test and measurement equipment and the integration of such equipment into a test solution would be an asset.
  

• A solid understanding of mechanical assembly principles and the ability to design/build various systems using industry standard tools.
  

• Experience working with aluminum, G10, lexan and nylon.
  

• Excellent communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  

• Experience in an electrical panel build environment would be beneficial.
  

• An electrical/electronic technician background with previous experience as a lead hand or shop foreman in panel and rack fabrication would be an asset

Responsibilities:

• Build to industry best practice for mechanical assembly of fixtures, cables and test racks.

• Work independently.

• Provide a superior level of and mentoring to manufacturing staff in mechanical assembly.

• Be able to interpret industry standard schematics and drawings.
   
• Provide technical expertise to various departments

This position involves many exciting aspects of Test, System design and assembly. Most projects are build to print type services.
